The Devil Wears Prada

Isn't funny how once you've done something, no matter how traumatic it was at the time, when you look back at it, so those rosy glasses make it seem so nice, and lovely! That's what I feel like when I think back about my old job. Watching The Devil wears Prada the other night, I sat there missing my old job; being driven round in chauffered cars, going to the latest restaurant in Hong Kong, and of course drinking lots of lovely bubbly! I need to give myself a mental kick, just to remember that was only a very small part, and most of the time was spent sat in 5 hour long meetings in a windowless room in Leicester, driving 110 miles a day, 5 days a week, and falling asleep every Friday night as I was so tired.
Since starting Ochre And Ocre, I've realised that having your own company is not all champagne and chauffeurs, but at least I can control my own time, go to the gym every day, and you reap the rewards of the effort you put in. So back to the old SEO, and stop day dreaming, I've got a company to grow!

  1. It is indeed a great learning experience to endeavour something bigger than our old self - setting up our own companies is certainly one of those. Walk with courage! More important is to live fully in the process.
